About Judy

Judy Fort Brenneman, owner of Greenfire Creative, helps people, agencies, and organizations tell their stories. She’s a popular writing workshop and retreat leader; a long-time writing coach with expertise in working with all kinds of writers, including those who have interesting neurologies; and an award-winning author and playwright, storyteller, and occasional poet. She creates and presents Greenfire™ Writing Retreats and other in-person and online programs, created the first Interpretive Writing Intensive and Advanced Interpretive Writing workshops, and has presented widely on creativity and writing. Her works include the award-winning book, Electric Lemons: Interpretation and the Art of Writing; the Sustaining Creativity chapbook series; Small Signs of Hope (a pandemic project); and the play, Dracula and The Writing Coach (winner of the Trimedia Audience Choice Award–Best Theatre). Her short works have appeared in everything from literary magazines to wayside signs and museum exhibits. Greenfire Creative was officially established in June 2001, built on Judy’s 15 years of freelance and marketing experience.
